Why We Built This Site
Idaho gives the public access to many court records, but court records are governed by Idaho Court Administrative Rule 32 rather than by ordinary agency public-record handling. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. Bear Lake County District Court handles felony and higher civil matters, while the Magistrate Division handles misdemeanors, traffic and infraction cases, probate, small claims, preliminary felony hearings, and many family matters. The Clerk of the District Court / County Clerk and Recorder supports court filing and county recording work, and the Bear Lake County Sheriff's Office handles law-enforcement and jail records. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.

- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
